Description
This is an entry for 's contest. The characters are from his story "Badger and Python", but this little scenario is my own.Both Dinah the badger and her wolf boyfriend Rainforest have autism. That doesn't stop them from going out and having fun, but since Rainforest's autism is more severe than Dinah's, he sometimes becomes overwhelmed and needs help. At the fair, people are shouting at him and Dinah notices the beginning of a meltdown. Their friend Python gives Rainforest a squeeze to help him calm down. (Many people with Autism find such pressure soothing - although most people don't have a snake for a friend!)
Rainforest and Python belong to ~AspieBrayden , and I made up Dinah.
Time: 6.5 hours
Medium: Prismacolor marker and pencil; micron pens
Somehow this turned out below my usual standards, but I managed to tell a story and draw a background for once, so I'm pleased with it anyway.

Last night, I went to the movies with my lover (who is autistic), and we had to get out of the movie room because he didn't seem to like what was coming (I guess the movie was also too loud), but we got to play Pac-Man together all the same, before taking him back home. This was the best date, ever. Just because someone is autistic doesn't mean he/she will never know love.

This is an extremely amazing work. My brother has autism thus I agree with your message. He too likes to be "squeezed" to feel calmed and relaxed. Wonderful work as always. I hope your piece gets selected.

Awww, this is really appealing. It's so lifelike! It's the first time I've ever seen any of my characters in your style and I absolutely love it! I think that this is my favourite picture from you of all time and this is one of my overall favourites on deviantART of all time. This could win you the contest and more watchers. I'm glad I added you to my deviantwatch+ because you are so talented. You are very unselfish and you always think of others. I would be proud to be your art slave. Also, the project is actually re-named Badger and Friends. You are free to call it Badger and Python if you wish. Haha, I guess Badger and Friends is a more accurate title, since he has so many friends now
