Question: The text + pictures I put in my boxes don't have any padding/margins. Is there a way to fix that so that my boxes looks like your picture above, or preferably a little more padded?Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Valognir In reply to KawaiiLunacchi [2017-06-29 15:07:56 +0000 UTC]

I hope you can read my handwriting, hehe.

If you want to add more padding, you can copy the div with the class pppp, but don't close it. That will result in a nested div, each "layer" adding a padding of 16px. Just don't add too many, or it will look squished on small displays.

I tried using this in my group but it just lowered everything by a couple centimeters and kept the default width. Works great on my profile though, is that all it's meant for?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Valognir In reply to TheEightyFith [2017-02-16 13:46:07 +0000 UTC]

To be entirely honest, I have not tested it on groups, since I don't own any. So, yes, it is intended for profiles. If you don't mind, I would like to analyse the code on a group. Do you still have it active there and mind showing me?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TheEightyFith In reply to Valognir [2017-02-17 02:52:30 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I don't mind. I just put it back on again, its just in the main custom box on the first page. It is a fetish group though, so beware lol.Β expansion-community.deviantart…

If it's allowed on dA, I've seen worse.
And I think I found the problem. That's not a premium group. Super group? Whatever they call that. ^^ I think groups also need to be premium to use advanced coding.

hi there! ive been looking for a functioning Β wide content code and love the look of this!! however im struggling with it. for some reason, i can only either get the box to scroll and correctly fit the content, or be adjustable and have my images extend past the box itself. im sure i just didnt include some of the code, but im not sure what specifically i did wrong. can you help me out?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Valognir In reply to robotanlst [2017-02-08 13:46:13 +0000 UTC]

Well, I can try~ I think I don't fully understand your problem, though. ^^'

Looking on your profile and over your code, it does seem to work as intended. This code is not exactly... uh... "perfect" for images and varying resolutions. So, there's no "right" way to fix your problem, I'm afraid. It might always look off or start scrolling on different resolutions, namely, smaller ones.

There's just one thing I can suggest: Your content is just slightly too high for the scrollbar to disappear on your intended best resolution, it seems. So you might want to alter the width attribute just a little. The one that's bold in the description. It's confusing 'n all, but that's actually the thing that changes the height.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

robotanlst In reply to Valognir [2017-02-09 21:29:21 +0000 UTC]

yeah i managed to get it more or less working, though i had to manually change the size of the topmost image to get it to fit. at this point im more or less happy with how it looks, but if it starts acting strangely ill try what you said. thanks for the help!

I'm so glad this has returned! This is like the only code I will ever use and have been on all my accounts ;u;

The only issue is I'm just wondering but it is normal for everything to be shoved on the far left or is this just my browser view on it doing that? (this is even after with it all on the center code)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Valognir In reply to VonIcce [2017-01-11 09:11:19 +0000 UTC]

Huh, your code is really confusing... Hm. You have quite a few aligns all over the place. You should remove the ones you don't need.
Without looking at the code, the problem why things align to the left is because, well, you have an align="left" somewhere before the content. Use align="center" instead.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

VonIcce In reply to Valognir [2017-01-11 09:14:04 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I'm using your really old one before it was deleted. I tried to refix all of the missing stretches before I found out you had a new post back up. I tried putting in your new code and it put everything back in the middle but its giving me issue with the background being too thin.
Edit: Nope my problem I put a double < without meaning
All's good!

Valognir In reply to VonIcce [2017-01-11 09:18:12 +0000 UTC]

Oh. Heh, was my old code really that messy? *shrugs* Proof of improvement, I guess.
Glad it works now. If you need any help with coding, feel free to contact me at any time.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

VonIcce In reply to Valognir [2017-01-11 09:25:13 +0000 UTC]

They are actually the same but the background image is "img width="100%"" (which for some reason only that one likes me?) I'm just really glad for it overall truthfully, its a life saver.

I think it's just the clear boarder that's making it look messy. Your coding is clean just I can't find the old coding for that so I can make sure its how its suppose to be.
Alright, thank you!

Many thanks for the code, it's super useful!
I gotta ask though, do you know how to disable the inputblocker or is that what makes the wider boxes work?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Valognir In reply to EkoGlitch [2016-11-07 15:39:06 +0000 UTC]

Why would you want to disable it? The inputblocker class is the core of the code, yes.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EkoGlitch In reply to Valognir [2016-11-08 01:14:15 +0000 UTC]

Ah okay, I had links in my custom box and they weren't clickable, but if that's the core of the code then I can live with it

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Valognir In reply to EkoGlitch [2016-11-08 02:41:25 +0000 UTC]

Huh? That should not happen. Could you do that again so I can look into it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EkoGlitch In reply to Valognir [2016-11-08 03:02:09 +0000 UTC]

Sure I've added the links back, you can't click/select anything?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Valognir In reply to EkoGlitch [2016-11-08 14:43:51 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I see the problem. You used the code for the big image in the front only, correct? This overlays the "normal" content of the box. If you rightclick it and look for something like "inspect element", you can look at the html. Find the inputblocker div. If you hover it, you can see it covers the whole custom box. Instead, you could add the image as a second background image. It just couldn't overlay the content holder.

Hexfloog In reply to ??? [2016-11-01 03:20:05 +0000 UTC]

This is great! Β But my image is still locking to the right hand side of the box...Β

Edit: It looks like values larger than 386 start pushing off towards the right, I'd like to display at least 700

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Valognir In reply to Hexfloog [2016-11-01 15:13:24 +0000 UTC]

Looks like you replaced some random stretcher with your image. Copy the code as it is and place your content after it.

Edit: WAIT NEVERMIND I GOT IT LOL

lesserpandas In reply to Valognir [2016-10-19 00:18:46 +0000 UTC]

I do! but i'm having another issue atm D:

I'm trying to have it to where there's image on the left and right, with all text in the middle inside a content holder. I've done something similar before in the past but right now my content holder doesnt fit between like it has before, it stretches and goes on top of the image, but the text stays within the area the images are not at. do you know a fix for this?

you can see on my profile for exactly what im meaning

Im using Chrome
