During a conversation here on deviantart about underarm hair on girls, I received a few requests to post photos of my own, so heres you go!I stopped shaving my underarms about 2 years ago when my skin became increasingly sensitive to the razor (electric or not) shaving under my arms became a very long and painful process- during and for weeks afterwards. So I stopped shaving and I feel so much more comfortable- and its really quite grown on me (no pun intended).
And contrary to popular belief, furry underarms do not make you stink. I don't smell any different now then when I used to shave- as long as you are a clean person, use deodorant, etc (which I am, and do), then you shouldn't have any problems.
I just wish this was something that was more acceptable.

Never had the procedure and aint planning on it, was just a suggestion but yea if it aint worth the pain then fuck it. It's rare in our superficial society for a female as attractive as u to actually do it. You get huge points for courage, and basically giving the media 2 middle fingers

You are very beautiful, but the hairy armpits look is kinda for older woman who have just given up. Since ur underarms are so sensitive to shaving and all that, have u considored laser hair removal? Regardless if your comfortable and happy then who really gives a fuck about anything. Your not hurting nobody by having bush pits

Do you have any idea how painful getting laser hair removal done is? I've had it done in less sensitive areas and I can't imagine doing it under my arms. I'm happy with my underarm hair the way it is, thanks!

I don't mind women who don't shave their underarms as long as they are clean. In your case you are also very beautiful so I'm pretty sure lots of naysayers would be willing to look past that.

when i went trough puberty,i shaved every so often.but ever since,i just don't give a damn.i don't shave anywhere and i don't believe a woman should have to.men don't have to and-- although men are encouraged more and more to shave,these days--i don't think they should have to,either.god gave us body hair to protect from infection,make us warm,and enhance our sense of touch.
i've always thought body hair is attractive in both sexes (even though i am straight) and the only thing i can't stand is a man who always looks like he's wearing a fur coat,like robin williams.
i have red hair,so my body hair doesn't show up much,which is why i keep my "Lady 'stach" on my upper lip and my unibrow.despite the fact i'm natural,i've had people call me attractive.i'm not saying i am,just that people have said so.

by the way,a woman with underarm hair or hair elsewhere is not any less effeminate,touchable or beautiful.

I agree and salute you posting this, I do shave when I am going to go swimming or do an activity where I am going to be "on display". Sometimes I do it cause I like the smoothness and others because I can't be bothered to deal with peoples preconceptions but mostly I just leave it for the same reason you do. I am luckier and if I just shave occasionally I don't have much of an issue but if I shave every day then I get nasty razor reactions... so I decided one day that I'd just let it grow. I am actually very lucky and have a boyfriend who discovered he quite liked it, I think its the novelty of it (one day I'll be smooth then I'll have a hairy few weeks then shave again) plus he is quite smart and has figured out the "smooth" phase ponly lasts part of one day and the rest of the time we have stubble (guys know that about their own faces so I don't know why they don't figure it about girls legs and underarms... I have an image of loads of girls refusing to let guys touch them when their stubble starts or shaving twice a day..... that just sounds exhausing to me). But yeah I treat shaving like men treat their facial hair... totally optional.

There's simply something about a good looking girl raising her arm and the sight of her underarm being an accentuation of her appeal. I can totally wrap my head around the fact that it's natural, it isn't disgusting or gross, but I could never see myself enjoying running my fingers through a woman's underarm hair. In fact I know me, I would make a semi-conscious effort to avoid the area all together. I find that a lot of girl's appeal is heightened by the sight of their freshly shaven underarm, and it's sexy. It's also a choice. Just like shaving your crotch, or like most men between our eyebrows.
I salute you for your decision to grow your body hair, and I also find you attractive, so I wish I could see you without it.
