Description
Beware dial up, it may take forever to download. That aside, I decided I wanted to try my hand at tutorials. It is my first, so be kind. I use Photoshop 7.0, but I've found you can still do the same thing on Photoshop 5.0, so those with those versions are in luck. I use a mouse; I don't own a tablet. So individuals in the same situation will benefit, tablet owners could probably adapt this to that tool, I think.
Roughly, the lineart was inked by hand and scanned at 300 DPI, this tutorial shows a way to clean up this lineart to make it as crisp and nice as possible.
Also, please keep in mind it's only a tutorial. This is not the "correct" way to work with lineart. There is no "right way" to do anything in the art world, merely different versions that seem most comfortable to the artist. I suggest you 'shop around' as far as tutorials go, find out what you're most comfortable with, and adapt it to what you need it for. I am merely offering what I find comfortable.
