Description
The Toul Sleng Prison Museum in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia is the actual location of a notoriously brutal prison camp set up by the extremist Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia from 1975 to 1979.In one room of the museum enlarged photos of prominent Khmer Rouge leaders are displayed on the walls. All of these photos have been defaced with graffiti written by visitors to the museum.
I can't read Cambodian script but I can only imagine that the writing scrawled on these photos speaks of the pain and horror of those who lived through those murderous times.

I can't read Khmer, but the French writing on the top right means "Asshole"

A very disturbing picture! It captures brutality, inhumanity and the wishes for revenge. Outstanding.

You're right. It's a very powerful image. I've uploaded more photos of prison guards at Toul Sleng. These portraits obviously stir much emotion and that's why they have been defaced.
