About:
*Older daughter of the – sadly since a few years fallen down – toymaker Gerson Shell.
*Made her doctor in Soul-Science and made a quick way up to becoming the Royal Scientist shortly after her graduation. (In fact, she can’t really remember, why exactly it went that fast)
*Her studys on genetic soul-creation revolutionized science for sure – as Pans loves to comment. Though in her oppionion it went a bit in a false direction lately.
*Two of her latest projects have been a little colony of tiny living flowers, inspired by one of her favorite PC-games “Plants vs Zombies” and – of course – the successful permanent transformation of a monster soul into an artificial crafted body.
*Privately Undyne is a passioned Nerd and in regards of human history an absolute fangirl. She enjoys long tv-show-marathons with her boyfriend – from Doctor Who to Game of Thrones and One Piece – and long gaming nights with her besties.

Relationships:
*Shortly after Papyrus appeared out of the nothing with his little brother in his arms it became pretty clear, he belongs into a lab and a coat. Undyne assured that he became an assistent in her lab – at least during the time where he is not busy with his duties as Vize-Captain of the guard. It took even less long for her to notice, that she really likes the skeleton. Like…..REALLY liking. And when he clumsily approached her with the words “I lesbian you” running like the devil to the other end of the Underground after realizing what he actually just said to her, she was eventually 100% certain: She totally has to make her Fanfictions true! Since than they are a couple. Papyrus sadly has big issues with the more intimate stuff though. But Undyne is patient and is giving him all the time he needs.
*Napstablook – nowerdays better known as Napstaton or short NTT – has been Undynes closest friend since college times. The ghost always had been dreaming of an own body. A wish Undyne was just happy to eventually fulfill for him. They have their own little RPG-group running together with Papyrus, Naps little cousin Happstablook and their childhoodfriend Shyren.
*Sans – or Syrus as he lately likes to entitle himself – almost feels like a son to her. It had always amazed her what a gigantic age difference it is between him and Papyrus. However he enjoys the little one’s company and friendly nature. Eventhough it can be a bit exhausting when he keeps bumping into private moments of the couple.
*She has her hard time with the captain of the Guard and her difficult temper. However she lately found a thing they both like. Anime. Alphys is going crazy about anything that has even in the slightest to do with it – especially the Magical Girl genre. To Undyne’s amusement she is convinced about Anime being an absolute realistic depiction of humans and their everyday life – no matter how over the top the movements become.
*Undyne’s younger sister Odyl took over her father’s toy shop nearby New Home. They sadly don’t see each other very often lately.

I'm deeply curious about Odyl now because there's only one other AU I know that gave Undyne a sister, and that was a fanfic that I think got deleted.
Also always a sucker for familial interactions between Undyne and Gerson or Undyne and Asgore 
...Current theory-- Okay so Pans feels like he's all but confirmed to be Underswap!Gaster but that's only part of my theory. I feel it's also heavily implied that Undyne was Pans' assistant while he was Royal Scientist, and perhaps originally developed feelings for him during that time period, and after his amnesia and everyone else apparently forgetting too, erased memories of him but not necessarily feelings accumulated over that period of time?
Or, the emotions returned faster than legitimate memories, if it's possible for the memories to return at all.
Also, the thing with how she sees Syrus, plus his very high stats and red soul, made me wonder, was he an earlier attempt at what she tried to do with the Temmies? Was doing the Temmies subconsciously attempting to follow-through and complete a former project, lacking lots of research and experience and material from before, and thus failing in that manner? Perhaps with Pans focusing on body and Undyne on the soul. Has Syrus ever tried to cross the Barrier?
