You made really cool tutorials, actually im making some concept for a project and all these tutorials will help me a lot. I agree with you about using graphics gale, is really simple and usefull, we can say is pixel art friendly or specific made for pixel art. Frames, layers, export/import palette, all you need in a free and light tool. Here just an old versione of the concept im working on [link]

Really any program with a pencil tool and a zoom function will work. I personally use Paint.net because it's easy to use and the extra tools and functions come in handy for more then just Pixel art.

I use normal ms paint for all my pixel art. But tbh, you can use any program where you can zoom in and draw pixels one by one.

Ehy there! awesomes tutorials! but i have a little problem ^^' how do u create the curve in the third step? do u build it with the straight line tool or do u use the curve one?

I never use some special tools for curved lines. Always normal line tool. I just look how it would be the best curve and then do it. Usually you get a perfect curve when you can reflect circle sides, if you know what I mean.
