So yeah... for the past two weeks I've been wondering what 'An Officer and a Gentleman' was about and kept getting sidetracked from looking it up. So I asked my fiancee about it.. . . . I'm starting to think Seth isn't as ignorant to certain particular parallels I once thought he was towards.
I mean, come on. How many different armed services are out there? How many mushy cliched chick flicks are out there? The combinations are endless. So, pray tell... of all the movies to choose from for that one scene in the episode...they pick out one with a guy who's aΒ Navy Pilot.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who caught this?

Hehe, you're not the only one, and I've actually seen An Officer and a Gentleman, although it was a long time ago. Love your reaction, I have to admit I squealed when I saw that scene - although I kinda wished Chris had been serious about it when he said it would be Meg. Ah well, it was funny anyway. You make a good point though, about Seth knowing, maybe he does and just wants to see how many people pick up on it.
