The characters that form the word 'Osu' are "Oshi", meaning 'Push', and "Shinobu", meaning 'To Endure'. It's a statement of respect, patience and perseverence. Martial artists like Hitomi invoke it in order to show their dedication to their training.

Quite some time ago, I had a special offer for commissions, where a full-color commission had a bonus black and white single-character piece. This is the bonus piece for :swarmlordtrainee: that we haven't gotten around to for a while due to real-life stuff, but it's good to have it done! It also feels good knowing I was able to make use of my somewhat better tools and skills to do this one. Gotta reward the patience!
