Starting off a fanart sketch of a number of Final Fantasy “mascot” characters led to me coming up with a story for why these four end up together.Boco is a young Chocobo who is out to see the world. Quite intelligent for his age, Boco would be the brains of the group, if not for the fact he can’t speak. Instead, he ends up having to play the straight man (bird) to his companions more eccentric hijinks.
Mog the Moogle is the self-proclaimed leader of the group. He’s a self-proclaimed negotiator, knowledgeable in a number of monster languages, and a self-proclaimed master navigator. He self-proclaims a lot.
Cactaur Kate is prickly, jumpy, and prone to spraying 1000 needles at the drop of a hat. Fortunately for her friends, Kate’s needles are almost embarrassingly blunt.
Tonberry is silent, deadly and he will totally “doink” you with his knife if you suggest he’s a walking fart joke. Mog had to replace his kitchen knife with a toy… and for the moment, it looks like he hasn’t noticed the switch yet.
I have a bunch of sketches I’ve yet to upload, and will get to them as soon as possible!
