I decide to add the story of the picture because of my friend , a photograph I respect very much, who ask me "to appreciate this picture, I would need to know more of the why, where, when, who and why of the capture."
So
The photo was taken on a Sunday in September, last year, in our yard. In Romania, in the country, the poverty is terrible, the people work from the morning until the darkness for the daily life.
The old man in the picture is a neighbor of us and I was impressed by his expression, while carrying a piece of bread in his mouth seemed overwhelmed by all the bitterness of life, which left its mark on his face.
