Description This is a Photoshop tutorial on extracting a cartoon character with a black outline from a white background, like Walfas characters. I came up with this method last weekend when I was extracting Walfas character sprites for a game project. It can take less than 45 seconds to finish the process if you know what you are doing.

I don't know how well this will be received... my test audience among my peers didn't go well, losing the majority of them. I know the layout isn't great either... But I said I would get this out by Friday, and here it is.
I plan to make a comic version of this as well... illustrating my frustrations with the crunchy boarders and white jagged edges of the wand tool method.

-Edit-
Feedback would also be appreciated.

Ok, my video isn't specifically Walfas, but the process is the same.  Yes, that's my voice.  I'm obviously on a Mac, so get over it already.

Holy crap, this would have been useful back in the day with some of my older stuff.

Of course, I only have MS Paint.

Now all I need is a Paint.Net tutorial on this...
