Description
Could also entitle this version "...But Eight is good too!" You'd have to read the 3rd volume of Candidate for Goddess to get the reference.Well, I'm late on jumping in on this station wagon activity. Unlike the majority, I wanted [no, needed] to also brush up some of my Photoshop skills. A lot of sets of adjustment layers were used (and isoloated) with each part. Could have done better on the shading on the face... and the cat ears... are a work in progress. Should be similar to some of the Kizna Towrky Vector traces I used to do ([link] ). But this is my style of how I tend to draw cartoons by on my own. The eyes were made larger than I usually make them to conform to the Animu standard.
For me.. it's just Ok. While 7 hours elapsed from when I started this and it was more like 4 hours of work. That's kind of slow for me...
I should have sketched more than just a portrait so I could have a pose ready when I was sketching, not just experimenting. Oh well.
Photoshop was used.
Also Adjustment layers using Curves was used.
MANY layers are used. I start with the Outline... and leave it at the top. The color layers from the bottom up are: Hair (Back), Neck, Face [Eyes], Hair (Mid), Cat Ears, and finally Hair (Front)...If you saw how I have my Photoshop set up from my Photoshop Tutorial... now you can see why I have such a large area for the Layer Pallet. It sounds like a lot of work to people that cram all of their stuff into one layer, but in reality, it's more flexible and let's me control where I am working. I work like this with Illustrator too, especially with gradient meshes.
