I guess a really crappy and quick tutorial of how I've recently been coloring.I'll leave comments open this time around if anyone would like me to go in greater depth with this (or if you can't read my shit handwriting). It's just supposed to be a sort of "this is how I do it, if you like it, use it and build a better process from this because I suck at doing anything innovative and I know anyone can do better than me".
I just hate writing my steps down because I'm so goddamn lazy...

The outlines of the gradients? Or the lineart itself?
I make the lineart and selections when coloring with the pen tool. To make the lineart, I draw the line with the pen tool, right click, stroke path. To make a selection with the pen tool, make your polygon that you want to be selected, right click, make selection.
