*Bangs head repeatedly on table* Turns out that the most recent official render of Mephiles shows that he's got BLUE colored crytalisation on his body so I recoloured and rejigged that purple Mephiles chibi sprite I created not long back to mirror his official coloration. This is 100% from scratch and has a palette of 21 colors

Soooo....scepter dwelling, darkness manipulating, Sonic-murdering demon hedgie shapeshifter in chibified sprite form. I don't like this as it's merely a recolour of previous work that wasn't even good to start with AND it's quite innaccurate and I really don't feel that the sprite posing is evocative of Mephiles' movements, which appear zombie-like, as if he's unsure in a physical body rather than a shady pool of vapour/ooze. Still, I recall that the point of the original sprite was to empathize cuteness (I am cuteness obsessed ^-^), so it's likely that I didn't envision these traits of Meph's posture back then as they don't 'look' "cute" persay, just insanely creepy, oh yeah, and because this was made before the game was released, there's the little thing about me not knowing how Mephiles typically moves his body.

It's innaccurate because it was made before any clear images of Mephy were released, therefore his hands are wrong (They're supposed to have crystallisation on them, not just the wrists) Not to say i'm pleasantly surprised and also mystified by the amount of faves this has garnered (MUCH MUCH MORE than any of my other works as a matter of fact, the amount of faves it has surprises me not just because of the poor quality of the sprite IMO but also because of it's innaccuracies). Still, if you people like this, than who am I to diss it? Fave away if you love it
