Saw a documentary about the Khalifa on Nat Geo's appropriately named Megastructures. Truly an impressive build(ing). Aside from the impressive height, my favourite part of it is actually the plaza/gardens place at the bottom. It gives the structure a base, which somehow makes it look more stable and more weighted. Like a pencil held onto a table with Blu-Tack.
