Support my art! Tumblr Reblog GalleryDoing a little series of simple paintings of Undertale locations. Third I have Waterfall. 
The Waterfall is EASILY my favorite area. Gorgeous music, whimsical mystery, and true magic in the air. And an explanation for how they get their light in the underground. The entire environment is oozing with creativity, and my only complaint is that Waterfall is the only underground location that’s THIS AWESOME.

Your not wrong to fall in love with the locations in Undertale there VickyViolet and hot damn I could listen to the soundtrack within the Waterfall area for forever. *nods*
Even then you gotta get down the visuals that match the music and I think you pulled that off here. Like you said it yourself, its a place that feels like magic is in the air, the stars shine above you and a skeleton wants to charge you 50,000g to use his telescope, lol.
Just as well superb job on the way you brought the dark to life with the effective usage of the blues, whites and even the greys as well. Can see you did great to reference off the game itself having that natural glowing pond feel to it all in this area and that's what I love about it too. The way its such a dark place and it teems with such pretty life.
The perspective works very well here and nice winding in the river as you can see it comes down. Glad to see you include some foliage here and there to better dress up the image and where the heck if my Onion-San? ^O^
Superb work here VickyViolet , keep it up! Oh and try and toss some bit of a glow effect in for future works. Bet you anything it would really makes image like this really light up!

Like I also mentioned, the series I'm doing are "simple" paintings. I'm actually creating these for a little project where they're going to be printed on something small, and they're much better off not containing too much detail, just enough so you can tell what the location even is.
Since I love Waterfall SO GOSH DANG MUCH, I might actually later do a new piece just for it where I do get significantly more detailed, with better perspective, depth, details, and glows. Ya know. Among my other millions of art projects. XD

Just as well the simple project idea I really like that because you don't have to get lost in the countless bits of detail but take in the picture enough to see a lush world and get your head and eyes filled with awe. Easier said then done in some cases but cheers to how well you captured the feeling of the Waterfull with what you did here.
Oh jeez, don't get lost in those projects! Well its good to hear you'll come back to this little piece and all the best the next time around where you can give it your full 100% to really make it drop a jaw or two. I know it will. *nods*
