[TW for minor/artistic blood depiction]

When Ezellohar, the son of Yseult, returned home, Yulian had been there. Amidst the crowd, though holding herself a bit in the distance, she smiled. It was good to see the boy home, safe and sound.

Β She wondered what his words might ensue of. She certainly knew what it had been like, pushing out on her own. Perhaps his adventures would be of triumph and inspiration.

She did not expect to receive such an earful.

Ezellohar recalled, quite the taste of contempt on his tongue, of the incident with the loners which had taken up shelter in Riverfell's territory. Before the pack had come home for themselves, and making the most of the resources. Yulian did not agree with it, but...

"Because you bite first, and ask no questions."

This raised a considerable amount of attention, including that of the great wolf's. Yulian's ears perked and her eye sharpened. What? What was she hearing?

She recalled catching the scent of a wolf. A larger wolf, not a child. Would she have been the mother? Yulian recalled tracking her scent to chase her out. The words 'hunt them down' began to feel, in truth, much more upsetting than she heard them the first time. She had been unknowingly ordered to 'hunt' down a mother and her child?

Yulian had been a loner, for more than once in her life. Had she been in their paws, would she receive such treatment? Or, rather... Would Miss Shiloh have sent other Riverfellians to chase her away when she had finally, finally reunited with this pack?

As Ezellohar spoke, Yulian began to frown. Her eyes darkened, as if beginning to carry a heavier and heavier burden. Her words were not greatly focused on what he was saying in the present any longer, but she felt there had really been no need to.

Was she right, trying to fight these conflicting feelings ever since her return? Yulian didn't know. What had been something of an emotional reunion between all of her packmates was now... less than. But as always, she kept her head low and focused to serve the pack and Shiloh. All the while, dodging conflicting and difficult emotions. And now, it was surfacing that someone in this very pack, would aim so low as to attack a mother.

Yulian was not so sure that she fully agreed with the Riverfellian ways. She wascertain, however, that she did not agree with voices so willing to drown out the voice of a concerned child.

But as always, as she had come to enact so many times before, Yulian kept her mouth shut as she departed the scene. That was enough of what she needed to hear. The echoes of praise for Shiloh's call to action were redundant, in Yulian's view.

With that, Yulian decided to keep in mind of what some of her fellow packmates were capable of, and how little they could prove that they cared about the world outside of them. This was all news to her. And yet at the same time, she couldn't help but find her hesitancy with reclaiming the pack to call home, a bit more validated today more than ever.

Riverfell.Yulian felt nausea rising.

What a wonderful place to call home. How very respectful of Miss Shiloh.
