Kanda sighed and leaned farther back into Lavi's arms. His last mission hadn't gone so well, and it was nice to come back to HQ and be able to relax in his lover's arms. Lavi nuzzled his neck, making Kanda moan lightly and move his head, granting the red head more access.

"Mmmm, Yuu have such soft skin," Lavi muttered, gently kissing the exposed neck.

"Stop using my name as a pun," Kanda hissed, not really giving his threat any backing. He was in too much of a good mood...

"Sorry," Lavi said with a chuckle. He leaned Kanda back a little more so that he could kiss the raven sweetly. "You know I love Yuu, right?"

"Yeah," Kanda said, a small smile gracing his lips.

Before any more could be said, the alarm went off in the order. Both snapped their heads up, hearing the Gate Keeper screaming something about an Akuma there to destroy them all. Kanda jolted up and was about to run out to face it, but a hand grabbing his held him back.

"Be careful," Lavi said, standing up and kissing Kanda quickly.

"I will be," Kanda said with a nod. He grabbed Mugen and ran out of his room.

When Kanda got outside, he landed on top of the Gate Keeper. He looked down at the 'Akuma' and glared at it. It was only a child. He really gave up time with Lavi to destroy this thing? That only pissed Kanda off to no end.

"You're either fearless or stupid for showing your face around here," Kanda growled, gripping Mugen. This white haired freak was going to pay....

"Yuu!!" Lavi cried, glomping Kanda as soon as he came into the room. "So what happened?? Did you rip the Akuma to shreds?! HUH?!?! What, what, what?!?!"

"Will you shut up for a minute!" Kanda snapped, any trace of his good mood from earlier gone. "That Akuma turned out to be an Exorcist..."

"Really?! No way!" Lavi said happily, jumping up and down. "I'll go say hi first thing in the morning!"

"Why not now?" Kanda asked dejectedly as he slipped his jacket off.

"Because right now you're upset," Lavi said, wrapped his arms around the bound chest from behind. "And I wanna make you feel better."

"Che," Kanda said simply before turning around and kissing Lavi.

~*The next day*~

"Good luck you two," Komui said, looking over his shoulders at Kanda and Allen.

"Go ahead, I'll be right there," Kanda said to Allen and Toma. "I need to ask Komui something."

"Just don't linger," Toma said before running out with Allen.

"What is it, Kanda?" Komui asked, wiping his glasses clean.

"Where was Lavi sent this time?" Kanda asked simply.

"He's in Eurasia," Komui said with a sigh. "He'll be gone for a while this time, so don't expect him back any time soon."

"Alright, thanks," Kanda muttered before going out to the boats.

Kanda trudged along, not really in the mood for this mission at the moment. He would have to ask Komui to send him off on another as soon as this one ended. He didn't want to be in HQ without Lavi around for too long...
