The snows, according to ancient greeks were the tears of cold hate that she felt for losing her daughter to Hades. It got so bad that Hades, made a deal to give Persephone back for six months of the year. This is a great picture, I really love it nicely done. My daughter is starting mythology is school I used this picture for her project about the Olympians. She got an A by the way.
