Description Best served with this piece !

Posed in Garry's Mod, edited in Photoshop.

Another Re-imagined Sandbox work, the second in the Server Dust series. 9 and 347, two lone admins, pause their travels to witness the sun from among the clouds. This time they are traversing a stranded bridge spanning across different 'maps' (continents), suspended solely by a net of hoverballs. This intercontinental superstructure can pivot on its midpoint anchor which shoots straight down into the ocean, and thus connect more than just 2 maps together.

This was my first time trying out sunset light. I tried to toy with composition this time, and intentionally left a big part of the image empty, as I wanted to convey emptiness. I also tried to give the structure a story of some sort - which can be read by examining its details - and make as much sense of it as it allows (which isn't much).

Hey, i've seen a lot of Gmod Art taken in very high resolution.
I've read through Your Godly Guide a couple of times but couldn't excactly find the command You used to take "screenshots" in higher resolutions.
The command "poster_soft 1" took it in the excact same resolution as i would get it with the "screenshot" command
I have a 2560x1440 Monitor, but i want to go bigger then that.

Loving Your work, by the way

You want to type in a poster_soft where if x =1 then your default resolution is outputted, if x=2 your default resolution times 2 is outputted, etc. It'd be best if you post here for questions, facepunch.com/showthread.php?t…

Amazing! But I have to wonder, what's the advantage of using gmod instead of SFM, is it easier for you to build with props in gmod?

Yeah, I don't know why, I find it a lot more comfortable to work with, maybe because I'm just so familiar with it. Also, the immediate access to lua functionalities through the console command (giving you awesome tools really), and the ability to code my own tools to manipulate a scene is a great plus!

I see! Any place we could see more of your process? I am really curious what kind of things you do with lua for your art. Maybe you have a breakdown on one of your artworks?

Wow, what an in depth guide. You tamed gmod into a powerful 3D software of your own! Source film maker is a a bit clunky with it's world view and positioning objects, but interestingly it does have some neat parameters like non-points lights (with radius), ambient occlusion and various other settings for lights. Never though such things were achievable in gmod though, amazing.
