Description

You're super bored and you decide to go out for a walk. You pass all the normal stores: the supermarket, the library, the playgound...and you see a shop you've never noticed before. It's small, rusty, and behind the supermarket. You walk closer and read the weathered sign, which appears to say "Music Ponies." But you could be wrong. It's so old, you aren't sure if that's what it really says. But you enter the store anyways.

A tiny bell rings when you open the door, but it sounds like a dying bird. You look around the store. There are shelves after shelves of CDs. You read them,and you realize they're all songs. Whileyour eyes wander around the room, you see a desk and two ponies. You walk over. The first pony has brown fur and hair. He has a collar on and a chain attatched to it. His red eyes look bored. He's carrying a stack of CDs to the second pony. She's using her magic to put the CDs on a shelf. She has orange hair and white skin, and she is vey absorbed in her work.

You shift around, and the floor squeaks. The two ponies look up. As if someone has turned on a light within them, they perk up and start talking to you. The orange haired pony smiles at you. "Are you a customer?" You shrug. The floor squeaks again. The brown pony sighs and drops down to all fours. You can see that he has a a dog tail. The orange pony studies you and you shift uncomfortably. The floor squeaks again.

"I was hoping we would have some customers. I mean, it's been a while." The brown pony taps her on the shoulder and hands her another stack of CDs. She starts to reshelve them while he bends down and picks up more scattered CDs. You watch, then ask,"What do you mean, it's been a while?" The orange haired pony doesn't look up. "Well, I guess we have a little bit of time for a story."

"My name is Honeycrisp and this is my cousin, Fauna." You start to think that he's not a deer, or a fawn, but then you realize that Fauna means animal. Duh. She continues after a pause. "This store has been in our family for generations. My dad, Button Mash, ran this store for like a year after his dad died and left the store to him. After that, he gave the store to me. My mom, Silver Spoon, helped me run it for a while. You should've seen it back then. Busy, full of customers, that sort of business. Then, my mom divorced my dad and then auntie Diamond Tiara helped me run it. She was super helpful, but after a while she moved to Manehatten and I had to run it by myself. Then, my dad's mom's brother's son, Fauna here, showed up and helped me run it. We've been doing so ever since. But business has dropped a lot. We get one customer a month, or two if we're lucky. It's cause most ponies nowadays just listen to the radio, and they don't need CDs anymore." Fauna straightenes up and mumbles,"It's a miracle we're even able to stay in this building." They finish shelving the last CD and go to the next shelf.

You're interested now. You really want to buy a CD, so you ask them how they sell them. "Do I buy them by the stack, or--" Honeycrisp cuts you off, delighted you're interested. "Oh boy, the way we sell is sure exciting alright! You pick a song out of our thousands of songs here. We've got pop, rap, hip hop, classic, et cetera. Then, you wait a few days and come back. We'll have the CD all cleaned up for you, plus a custom pony based on the song! Well, the pony isn't real, of course, but it's finely detailed and vibrantly colored. The clay base is made by Fauna here and is painted by yours truly."

You nod, excited. Your eyes scan the room, looking for a song you'd like.

1.) Find a song, any song. Just not an entire video with like a 3 second jingle.
2.) Link it to me. YouTube is preferred.
3.) Tell me what type of gender and species you want, or I can surprise you.
4.) You'll recieve a custom pony based on the song. Not an actual painted figure, sorry xD
5.) Send 20 points.
