The problem with this is that Godzilla is WAY beyond the Jagers. Gypsy only weighs about 2,500 tons. Godzilla weighs about 90,000 TONS!

Godzilla:Β MINYA! I get woken up by alien kaiju raiding MY PLANET and I get attacked by these tin cans when I come to take care of those wanna-bees myself?!
Awesome piece!
Would have/would be awesome if they had found a way to tie the movies together besides the "Serizawa Category Scale." As for the whole Pacific Rim vs Godzilla, it would be interesting to see, especially when it came to them trying to figure out where he came from.

Standard wisdom dictates that G-Dog would wipe the floor with Gypsy. However, the amount of output from the blast from Pacific Rim shown, leaves me to speculate if Gojira could withstand the shockwave. Remember. The Godzilla depicted here is from Warner Brothers. Not Toho. A living, breathing, ancient organism. Nothing mystic about him.

Even though godzilla is good, He's about to get burned. (use the nuclear turbine to burn a hole in good ole zilla)

Highly dought it will harm him. He fires a more powerful version out his mouth. Also Zilla and Godzilla are two different monsters.

I reckon it would harm him, seeing as the same move burnt a hole in a Category V kaiju UNDERWATER, It's gonna screw G up in air. And if that fails, The Plasmacaster WILL end him. Plus Crimson typhoon is there too, And it has a more powerful version of the plasmacaster. G is Ended.

I doubt it. Godzilla survived Castle Bravo, a 15 megaton nuke unscathed. Slattern survived a 1.4 megaton nuke pretty badly damaged. His durability is way higher than anything Gypsy has dealt with. Let's not also forget Godzilla survived multiple nukes, not just the one shown.

Yes, But you must admit, A two-jaeger drop would screw Big G up. Crimson's Plasmacaster would wreck G, while gipsy is takin the main attack.

I seriously doubt it. Nothing in a Jaeger's arsenal is even close to an atomic weapon and Godzilla was hit by a number of those with no ill effect. Godzilla swam away unharmed from an atomic bomb more than ten times stronger than the one that nearly killed Slattern and if we take other Godzilla films into account he can also survive hits from monsters weighing more than five times as much as any Pacific Rim kaiju or jaeger without flinching. Legendary's Godzilla weights at least 10 times more than Slattern if we base his weight on older Godzilla designs. I honestly think that any jaeger trying to melee with Godzilla would break themselves apart. Gipsy's arm would collapse before it damaged Godzilla at all! It'd be like me trying to beat up a brick wall.

you may break your arm with a brick wall, but if you had a hammer, the wall breaks. G cannot pick up and use other stuff, whereas The jaegers can and have used random stuff to kill kaiju. What's stopping A jaeger from picking up a boat or submarine and beating Godzilla to death with it?
π: 0 β©: 1
QueenSerenity2012 In reply to SPARTAN-180 [2015-08-31 06:29:28 +0000 UTC]
The boat would almost certainly break too. Godzilla is, by all means, impervious to anything the jaegers can dish out. If Godzilla can walk away from an atomic bomb unscathed then a ship is going to be like a light breeze.
Godzilla blasting a jaeger with atomic breath stops any melee from occuring, and tail swipes could conceivably crush them too. If they get close then they have to deal with something more than five times bigger than themselves trying to literally trample them if Legendary Godzilla's fighting style against the female MUTO is any indication of how he fights.Β

Godzilla is only 120m tall, that's only a measly 40m taller than the shortest jaeger, and he's only 15m taller than the tallest jaeger. Don't forget the nukes that hit G were Kilotons. Gypsy took the biggest produced nuke and got away with nothing.

That line from the movie is flat out wrong. It's been said in a ton of promotional material and in the film itself that Godzilla was hit with Castle Bravo. Castle Bravo was a 15 megaton bomb and the 2014 Godzilla was also directly hit with an asteroid larger than Mt. Everest and apparently survived without any problem.Β

15 Megatons= 15million tons of TNT.
The bomb used by the jaegers is 25 Megatons.
The largest bomb ever built is around 80 megatons or something.
If G survived that, he is the mary sue of mary sues. An asteroid that big would kill the hemisphere.

Castle bravo= 15 million tons of TNT. Thermonuclear device used by the jaegers = 25 million tons of TNT.
The largest extinction event known to man was caused by a City-sized asteroid. A mount Everest size would destroy a hemisphere.

We have no idea what caused the Permian-Triassic extinction event but it almost certainly wasn't an asteroid. In the Godzilla 2014 canon it was caused by a gigantic asteroid that was at least as big as the asteroid that hit earth at the end of the Cretaceous period. Most modern studies of the crater have indicated that the Chicxulub asteroid was between 5 and 6km tall. That's very close to being as big as Mt. Everest and the asteroid that hits Godzilla is almost certainly bigger since the Permian-Triassic extinction was considerably worse than the Cretaceous/Palaeogene one.

Godzilla may be powerful,Β but he's slow. PAINFULLY SLOW. The Jaegers have speed and range on their side, and if the Mongols taught us anything, Speed+range > StrengthΒ + power. The Jaegers could just run and Gun Godzilla, further slowing him, until his severely damaged limbs cannot support his weight. When that happens, the jaegers would decapitate, burn, slice, explode, shoot his head into pieces. And if all that fails, Gypsy could go Nuclear. That Incinerated her body and you need to admit, flesh is softer than titanium. Godzilla dies, case and point. And if you aren't convinced, Godzilla would attract so much attention,Β Every single jaeger in existence would be deployed on his ass. That'sΒ 80+ at the height of the program.Β

Godzilla crossed the entire Pacific Ocean in about 24 hours. I wouldn't consider that slow by any means. Other incarnations have crossed Japan in under a week. We haven't seen enough of 2014 Godzilla to say he's slow on land.Β
Speed and range don't mean a thing if you're incapable of hurting the target. There is absolutely nothing in the Jaeger arsenal that could hurt Godzilla at all. Jaegers would fall to pieces trying to melee Godzilla even with weapons due to the difference in mass. If a 6 mile wide asteroid making direct impact with Godzilla failed to kill him then I seriously doubt Gipsy's self destruct could do it either. On top of that a single atomic breath could likely destroy dozens of jaegers at once if aimed properly. They never had to deal with beam weapons like Godzilla utilizes. The closest I can think of would be Otachi's acid and that is nothing compared to atomic breath which burns hot enough to melt steel and in some incarnations is powerful enough to punch straight through other kaiju and even destroy moon-sized objects with ease.Β
Flesh is softer in titanium in real life, sure, but Godzilla doesn't play by realities rules. There's a reason Godzilla can slap around various mechs without hurting himself. He also tends to walk straight through buildings. Like I've said before, though, none of that even matters since Godzilla is so dense compared to the jaegers that they would smash themselves trying to hit him. I'll use the brick wall analogy again; 50 people punching a brick wall doesn't result in a broken wall. It invariably results in 50 people with broken hands.

Godzilla is fast in water. Jaegers can reach over 300kmph at that jog of theirs. Striker eureka, the fastest jaeger, can punch it to 450kmph. Godzilla may have heightened regeneration, but enough damage and regen stops dead.Β And Gypsy's self destruct DESTROYED THE BREACH, Along with around 100 Category 6 Kaiju. Godzilla (2014) is a category 6 kaiju, according to legendary studios. 2014 is the biggest and strongest Godzilla so far, so anything below him is a cakewalk for jaegers. Sure, a brick wall will break your hands, but what if those people were swinging with the force to splinter doors in a punch? Then your wall breaks.

QueenSerenity2012 In reply to SPARTAN-180 [2015-09-03 21:38:22 +0000 UTC]
Godzilla is a category 7, if I remember that quote correctly. Destroying the breach means nothing at all since we have nothing to base its durability on. That was the first time it was ever actually hit with anything at all.Β
You've still yet to explain how the jaegers are even going to hurt Godzilla. They have nothing in their arsenal capable of harming him in any way at all. If you swing hard enough to punch through a door and you hit a brick wall then you still break your hand because of the density difference. If you throw an egg at a brick wall during a tornado it starts going insanely fast but explodes just the same leaving the wall unharmed. Godzilla gets slugged around by things weighing more than all the kaiju in Pacific Rim combined and doesn't even flinch so a punch from a jaeger would be like getting flicked.
Category 6 kaiju aren't particularly powerful. Slattern was a complete pushover and Gipsy nearly killed it single handedly.Β
Legendary's Godzilla is nowhere near the strongest. It's the biggest and heaviest but it is nowhere near the most powerful. Godzilla threw a 30,000 ton kaiju over the horizon in Final Wars and survived a black hole in Godzilla vs Megaguirus. 2014's Godzilla is pretty much middle of the road based on what we've seen so far.

Last time I checked, doesn't one of Gorjira's enemies eat nukes? Because I'm pretty sure it would just gulp Gipsy's nuclear core.
