Description Lyron by

- Keru

_____

Did I still manage to suprise you with a character you probably didn't think I would do? ^^" (I will do the other two still. I already have something in mind after all)
Nah I actually REALLY like most of your designs so I chose Lyron simply because I am looking foward for him to apear in the comic. (And I didn't know how to pair him up with teodrick because I am not sure how they react around eachother) After all he seems to be a viallain character and he has a feeling of "potential character I will obsess over " around him XD

I went with my more cartoony style because ... I wanted to draw his boot(s) extra big

So he is a maybe villain or a "I am on the wrong side but I am actually not evil and belive me to be on the right side" person?

The only thing I can do is wait and find out >__< U-u

I am happy I could suprise you

You are very welcome <3

Ahahahaha, yeeehhhhh he may be one or the other
You've thought more about that than most others that have talked about him with me XD
most of them just say that he's a bad guy X3

nah, that would be to easy wouldn't it? XD

No one is "just" a bad guy XD Afterall he seems to be loyal to the order and therefore belive that whatever he is doing has a purpose and is probably the right thing in the end. (I don't know how the rank system works but the order seems to trust him back and has given him a probably higher rank ... but i don't know XD)  He also doesn't lie simply because he can but just if he "feels he has to" so ... seems like someone doesn't like doing it so much.

"other people see him as a crazy man with sadistic intentions." ... but is he really what other people see him as (probably a little bit but I doubt it has something to do with his intentions being plainly sadisitc)

X'D You've almost got him spot on, I'm really impressed
But indeed, nobody is simply a bad person (or the bad guy in a story without feeling as though their actions are justified) which I really find intriguing when ya really get to looking at villains/ "bad guys"
One of my favorite shows right now (although Lyron and the others were made long before I even knew about the show) just comes to show that no matter what side a person is, they all think what they're doing is the right thing and they can mostly all justify it when asked, even if the means to their actions are a longshot
And sometimes a character is neither good or bad, they're in that gray zone so often times they could be seen as either side
it totally just depends on what the situation is and whether or not said situation benefits that character ^u^

Hohohoho I am good!

Yes I agree!

I love characters who can justify their actions and after all (In Lyrons case) he is part of something bigger so he doesn't act on his own (and probably doesnt even know everything that are true intenions) it reminds me of religion a bit. You belive what you do is right or atleast right for you. Because people mostly act not for the greater good but for their own good (which sometimes includes more than them though) and of course "evil" is a weird concept. Without any doubt there are people who just enjoy being assholes and have fun being cruel but for the most part people who are seen as evil don't think of themselves as evil. A person usally has more layers than that.

Yesterday a saw a documentation and they interviewd two grave robbers. A farmer couple who just could live BECAUSE they robbed graves ... or else they would starve because they wouldn't be able to make enough money ... of course they destroyed evidence for a culture that lived 1500 years ago and of course because of that we probably will never know more about them BUT is knoweledge about it really more important than a starving elderly couple? It's never just black and white and it's what I enjoy about most storys and characters.

(If I hate something than flat characters and flat worldbuilding XD)

Yep, most of the times people are just told things on a need-to-know basis which is beneficial to the one sitting up top but to the smaller guys down the pyramid, the more they know could actually open their eyes to what the true purpose of the mission is which could in turn jeopardize the position of the higher ups
One could also argue that ignorance is bliss in situations like these XD
the less they know then the easier they can sleep at night if their actions are deemed "negative" by the vast majority not in on the mission
And this actually reminds me of a movie a past acquaintance showed me; it's called "Watchmen" and a lot of the characters are in the gray zone
While you think one is a bad person, you see later some of their past or their backstory with other characters and suddenly you're rethinking what you had previously thought about said character
And suddenly there are no "bad guys"

And absolutely, I think that's a valid argument ^u^
I would much prefer to have them feed and support themselves via grave robbing than starving simply because they can't attain the means naturally with their farming n such
I personally don't really think that it's that important to look at historical grave sites but I can see how it might benefit us potentially
Would probably disagree with robbing grave sites that are from royalty but other than that they can have at it
I know that that seems unethical because everyone deserves some sort of respects after they've passed but the dead don't really need what they're buried with and if it feeds the elderly or the otherwise impoverished then I'm for it

I've gotta agree though, flat characters and flat worlds/story-lines really tire me and lose my interest XD
If you're gonna bother making a story then make it as original as ya can

brainwashed aswell. You think you do it for that purpose but in the end it's nothing but manipulation of the smaller guys.

Yes ... what you don't know doesn't affect you. Simple as that ... so you close your eyes on purpose or you start wearing pink glasses so you can still do what you are suposed to do without thinking to much. (Keru is like that aswell sometimes. He has difficulties understanding different viewpoints .... especially political ... after all there is a reason why there are revolutionarys in his country. But he KNOWS he is right so they are wrong and they have to be teached the "right" way of thinking. That is ignorance at its purest)

Oh I saw watchmen aswell! And I agree and it what makes it intersting and keeps me watching. Usally tv shows and drama are all the same. It's always the same formula.

The graverobbing ... I think the goverment (peru) should work it out and I am sure the couple good find a way to get money that is maybe harder than grave robbing BUT legal. They don't because it's easy and they get alot of money from the black market. It's a topic where you can discuss and argue alot and that is what makes it interesting.

I will keep your last sentence because THAT is a good quote right there!

Mmm, yes brainwashing (I forgot about that side too XD )
the rose glasses perspective is
I actually have a great aunt who looks at the world like that and because of it she seems very aloof and not at all the serious sort of person
sometimes I wonder how people can do that X')
Rorschach was one of my favs (well, I actually loved 99% of the characters in the movie XD ) but he's one of the ones whom I thought was a bad guy
he went from being a character i was unsure of to being one that i only wanted to be happy :')

Well at least the government over there should be figuring things out then, maybe they'll make some way for people like that farmer couple to make a better living in a legal manner

And thankya, didn't think it was much of anything but looking back I'm like "woah, more people should hear that before making a show"

I don't think it's bad. Afterall you don't have to make yourself missarble over things you can't change ... it always depends I guess.

Well Rorschach is just thinking in black and white. I liked him because he wasn't a super and I pityied him from the very beginning I guess. He also is funny ... but that is probably because I sometimes have a fucked up humor ^^"

True ... but's always that right? It always depens on so many things like culture, goverment, how you were raised and how many problems you have..

Yeah I think I actually have it as my WA quote now :'D Hope you don't mind

True, true

No worries, I thought Rorschach was pretty funny too and I always liked the way he spoke too (ya know, like he was taking notes as an investigator)

And cool, I got no problem with that at all
