and black and white fit extremely well.

Thanks, Minh!! This was a 78-second exposure. I set my camera to manual (bulb) and held the shutter open until I captured a decent amount of lightning flashes. Unfortunately with such a long exposure, you get a lot of noise... and combined with wind from the storm, it's hard to really get a sharp image even on a good tripod. Not to mention the difficulty of getting a focus in the dark! It was a tough shot, and I'm very glad you like it!

You're welcome, and I'm sure those noise don't effect the photo one bit. Btw, did you use ND filter?

Nope, in fact I was in such a hurry to start getting some shots of the storm that all I did was remove the polarizer I had on and use the naked lens. lol

I really want to do some long-exposure photography while I don't have any experience so I always ask other people about it ^^

Yeah, I am definitely learning as I go! I've found that it's really tough photographing anything with even a trace of wind (and we have it nonstop out here ). Also, make sure you have a very strong tripod. I wish I had a remote shutter control!

I've seen some long-exposure shot, for example 's works. And I always wonder why they are so sharp, so noise-free. I've tried Noise Ninja but it's still not good enough.

Ohhh yeah, I have been wondering the same. You should ask her and let me know what she says.
