Description
Ref for my newest oc, Barnabas Baumbach, who I made around a set of Island of Misfit Dice that I received from Kraken Dice.He is a Water Genasi Blood Hunter, and a (former) Merchant ship sailor.
Rambled Bio:
Barnabas grew up in a port town, with his Water Genasi parents who ran a small produce stand for the sailors to restock at. He eventually grew up to become a sailor himself, leaving his home at a fairly young age. His ship was called The Songbird, and was a merchant ship taking weapons and cargo from port to port. He spent 8 long years on that ship, slowly ranking his way up to being second mate.
It was on a stormy night that they were attacked by The Depths- A band of Pirates who wanted nothing more than to kill and gain notoriety. They killed every last member of his crew, but left Barnabas alive to tell the tale. He received the scars on his chest that night.
He awoke some time later, in a bed belonging to a stranger. He came to learn that he'd been found ashore, by a vampire named Sebastian, who took him in and dressed his wounds. It took a long time for him to heal, and even longer for him to be able to see the sea without stress. Barnabas and Sebastian became close friends, him living with them and their Werewolf friend, Haine.
Barnabas found after a while that he had started to feel. Something more than friendship for Sebby, but he doesn't want to scare him away. He knows of Sebastian's previous rocky relationships, and doesn't wish to rush him as Sebastian had not rushed him into going to sea again. He currently works between Sebby and Haine's shop, The Blood and Brass, and Odd-Jobs at the Ports.
Ever since waking up in Sebastians home, Barnabas has felt different. He first thought that it was from nearly drowning, or nearly losing his arm. He soon found that this was not the case when accidentally cutting himself. The blade that pierced his skin began to crackle with cold energy. He's kept this a secret from most, but Sebastian has seen it a few times and helps to keep it hidden.
