**Spoilers for Elden Ring ahead**

"Use my masterpiece to slay a god. That is all that I have lived for. And my promise to Q-queen Marika. But do me a favor, and do look after the girl. I can't hold on much longer. I'm going the way of the R-roundtable... It was a great honor to smith your weapons during my time here.
Allow me to c-call you this, just once, before it ends. My lord, f-for that is what you are."

So I've played and beaten Elden Ring. And for all it's amazing characters, the one who lingers with me after I beat it was master Hewg. Especially his final words before losing himself, which I quoted above.

At first I didn't pay him mind, just another upgrade npc for me to only ever speak to to upgrade my weapons. But over time I grew attached to him. If nothing else in something of a joking manner as I'd come in after every boss to have my smith upgrade my new gear. But then I actually started to like his character

And then the late game/burning of the erdtree happened, and Hewg began to go with it and the round table. Slowly losing himself and his memories. Until that final quote before he forgot everything. I won't lie when I say that it brought tears to my eyes. Especially since I've had family die from brain cancer, they too began to lose themselves near the end.

As such, the character took a more personal place on my heart. And I made this. Admittedly not the best art, but I am proud of it regardless. I hope you all like it too.
