The other fractal I managed to do after my long break, I'm generally happy with it except the fact that there's too much space left out on the sides.The reason with my choice with the title is I think it looks like an nuclear explosion just going off or at least that what I think it resembles the most.
I changed a couple of settings when I rendered this and my previous one. Also, I enabled a higher resolution and plan on updating my older fractals with higher resolution as well.

Do you use any plugins? They really help in the variety with fractals, at least that's how I've experienced it. I follow some tutorials mostly and afterwards I try to change some parts of the tutorial to see what I can make from it.
Also one thing that is important to do, save the parameters from your fractals. When you have those you can use the same parameters from one fractal and create something completely new with them. Just press ctrl + c on a fractal in apophysis and then paste it into notepad and save, very simple
That's about all the tips I can come up with right now, hopefully I gave some decent tips and that somethings became more clear
