As a would-be writing hero, I'd like to think that creators should remain impartial to their works. That said, I'm more than willing to admit that this guy's one of my favorite characters. If he was in a fighting game, I'd main him in an instant -- since he IS a zoning-type character, and that's kind of my thing.

Anyway, Raze. This is some old art of him, but he hasn't changed that much since I drew this. Technically that's only because he changed dramatically before this point, but let's not dwell too much on what he used to be. The important thing is who he's geared up to be: a psychic kid in a future where his fellow ESP-enabled peers are about to wage war on the adults that would harass and ensnare them. Brutal warfare ensues, least of all because the kids are all in gangs vying for control. Good thing our hero's there to straighten things out.

True to his moniker, Raze is a soldier -- or at least pretending to be one. He's calm, serious, and stoic to a fault, in spite of being a good fit for any given middle school. With his suite of battle-tested weaponry and sound-based psychic powers -- up to and including the kinetic, buzzsaw-equipped guitar he pulls out of his head -- he's ready to take on any mission for the sake of his gang, the Swallowtails. Needless to say, he's very good at it. He'll shoot down foes from fields away with pinpoint accuracy.

That's probably because (if you look closely) he's got cross-hairs for pupils. But who's to say, really?
