Description

Matilde loved autumn - sweater weather, the changing of the leaves, Halloween - but especially pumpkins. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice, Jack-o-lanterns, plastic pumpkins, pumpkn pants. As an artistic and creative person, every Fall she would make a variety of Autumnal crafts, and set up a booth at the festival to sell them.

As she went around perusing the other booths (pumpkin latte in hand), something strange happened. She was envelopped in a bright blue glow, dropping her latte as her arms faded away. Her head widened and turned to orange plastic, becoming a pumpkin, while her body slimmed down, becoming a metallic cylinder. She shrunk down, a Halloween-themed novelty pen.

She ends up back at her booth, just another craft on the table, until she is bought by one of her regular customers, herself a creative, who would use her to write poetry about her beloved season.
