i have seen the worldas a collection of visual symbols
--fleeting visions i have had
where roads are no longer roads,
trees not trees,
lights not lights,
~Love not Love~
it entailed my intrigue--
i have seen the world
as a great joke played:
made fools believe in solid walls,
lifeless rocks,
happen-chance meetings,
eternal life,
and
Love...
and with bleeding
disbelieving eyes i saw
the beating life-blood through it all
it lay in a single sub-set word:
tree Love?
wind sound
fog light
shadow
all are convenient words
to touch what we think,
to think what we mean,
to mean what we say--
when we haven't the vaguest idea
what it is anyway:
Love!
i have seen the world
and it has seen me bare-naked
even if they don't believe it,
our journey is to become only mind
a life-long struggle for life--
a reward for death
Love.
the readiness for the leap--the fall
into the unfathomable unfamiliar--
the great unknown
with arms and eyes open wide,
is utmost in my mind
for it does not end here
and you will have to agree
if you have seen the world
