At some point I might give the seal some colour but at the moment I can't find a colour or colour scheme that wouldn't clash with the swirls.

I personally think it looks great as is. But I think if it were to be colored, some sort of blue would probably work best. Not too bright, but not too dark either.

Metallic or electic blue? ...with a dark outline so that the swirls don't bleed into it too much?

Thank you very much. I've been wanting to do something...anything...with such a fantastic design for years and then one night *bang* there it was, didn't take long either. I was thinking that this could even me a pretty nice tat. Originally, I was going to leave the swirls as black, like they were bleeding out of the outer ring but then I played with layers etc and this appeared...

Most welcome! Yeah, it is a really nice design. I think it looks really nice with colour though - it nicely contrasts the seal itself.
