So I thought of this idea called Heaventale. This is tleaventale Asgore. In this AU Asriel, Toriel, and Asgore live above ground with all the monsters. When the war broke out the monsters didn't retreat. During the war Asriel found an orphaned child and they took them in. Later in the war the child gets sick, dies, Ariel absorbs the soul. Yeah same stuff there, but after Asriel goes back home and passes on the humans followed him to find the castle. The humans then attack the castle and surrounding village leaving no monster alive. As Asgore took his last stand, he holds the flower with Asriels dust on it. Some powerful magic users /or higher power (you decide) took pity on the slaughtered monsters they decided to save the souls of the monsters and send them to a peaceful place in the sky, like a little heaven. There, Asgore and everyone else reformed. stuck in a never aging life. Asgore, in rage of the death of Asriel and everyone else vowed to get revenge for the slaughter. Toriel disagreed to his hatred and created a safe haven for lost pure souls. The only way the monsters could live and age again is if 7 human souls were captured ands when that happens the souls would spred over the Heaven and break apart, those prices would then go to monsters and repair their broken souls. But the only way the souls could get to the Heaven was if they were "pure", thus creating the difficulty. The only pure souls though were those of children who died suddenly on Earth but only the children who died in the ruins of the monster kingdom.
