Inspired by a discussion with a friend. We both agreed that we prefer Bob and Bart as 'forgiven enemies' rather than lovers. I for one like the chemistry between the characters, and they could get along once Bob lets go of his revenge plots.

...Oh yes. Even when Bob isn't trying to do any harm, he still can't win. (And no, Bart didn't cheat. Luck is just forever on his side.)

I made Bart older just in case people wanted to interpret this differently. But now I realize it can also be interpreted that they remained friends for a long time.
