Hm... Knob does sound like the most corrupt police warden in the Region, from a city-slicker's point of view.
I guess things are so different in secluded small towns where everybody is on everyone's phonebooks.

Corrupt wouldn't be the word. Lenient would be- Viridian technically committed felonies yet he's willing to let the guy off because he's genuinely a good person.
Someone who's truly corrupt would just throw Viridian into prison and be done with it.
