It's XP-tan! I've recently jumped on the OS-tan fan bandwagon (Fan-wagon? lol), now I can't get enough of these anime personifications of our lovely OS's too bad there's not a lot of fanart that I could find out there, despite the fact that they've been around for a while.
I got extremely excited about this one so that's why I finished so quickly. After getting my computer repaired, I started working on it. I did the when I had no computer then scanned it and colored it. It took a lot of will power to not work on it, since I had 2 midterms to do on friday, and thus I did it all on saturday! while also finishing Black Lagoon.
and now I have a digital circuit lab to finish and a MATLAB assignment to complete... all need to be done by today
anyways enjoy.
Edit: as suggested, I added some shadows on the legs, originally they seemed a bit off in the light, so I kinda fixed that. I probably overlooked that part when I did the original coloring

do you know if there was an original artist who drew this character? because I don't really know much about her origins; it seems that since people draw pretty much the same character I would assume it's based off some particular artist's design

I only know what the wiki page has about the origins of the series of these characters. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OS-tan as with many things in the Japanese doujin world, the characters are widely portrayed in many interpretations as do their popularity.

7 is doing a good job, though kinda annoying at times. But I think 2k professional was the best if not only for the diminishing support as time passed.
