Description Alright, here's a little break from Warhammer 40,000 art.

I've always been curious about the Warmachine game from Privateer Press. With the new MkII rules out, I thought maybe now is a good time to give it a try? One friend picked up some Cryx models and another bought some Khador. What does that leave me? Menoth and Cygnar.

I went with Cygnar. In honor of my choice, here's Victoria Haley, one of the many powerful warcasters that fight for Cygnar.

Her color scheme is pretty much the same as I saw it on the website. [link]
The Trenchers in the background I changed slightly so they had more blue on them. The rockets raining down in the background are from Menoth Deliverers.

This is definitely one of the best pieces of WM fanart I've seen so far! I just expected the explosions to be a lot more fiery, though, considering they're Menoth-manufactured weapons XD

Beautiful art! Your Captain Haley looks fantastic, and this captures her look perfectly. As a new WarMachine fan, I'm loving your presentation of Cygnar's golden girl. She's one of the best warcasters both for her faction and probably the game - unquestioningly so if you consider her "epic" form, *Major* Victoria Haley . . . she's the later version who lost her arm battling her twin sister, the Cryx warcaster Deneghra (kidnapped as a child by Cryx forces), to the death.

I like how it has that sortof 'painteresque' feeling to it and at the same time seems really simple.Must be the composition

The thing about doing personal fan art during my busy schedule is that I don't really have time to do a really highly rendered piece. So, I usually compromise and do something that has a more simple comic book/animation hybrid look. I feel it doesn't take as long and also is enjoyable to do at the same time. Glad you like it!

Thanks. There's a lot out there, but I wouldn't mind seeing even more from fans. But yeah, in comparison to like 40k fan art .... not as much it seems.

yup. there's isnt any rule 34 warmachine... and thats saying something. for a game that has way more chicks than 40k.

Yeah? I saw some video online. But the picture quality was unclear. Couldn't tell what was going on. I was just gonna wait until there was an official trailer. I do look forward to the game though.

Sweet pose & pice, I realy like the explosions in the back. I also started warmachine with the MkII rules re-write (because GW nerfed my army), I however am playing the Anrgy Russians and the Kittens with Mittens.

Indeed this is very cool piece of work eventhough I hate to play against the lady in question. She definitely looks right she's supposed to look (like Hayley duh ) but there's still something amiss: If I remember it right it was her right arm (puns are lame) that was supposed to have been taken off from her by her sister Deneghra so she should have a robotic arm installed in place.

Thanks pguana3. Everyone has a handful of art styles that they like to draw in. For me, this style is fun and fits well into pockets of free time during the month.

The guys that do the illustrations for Privateer Press are so good at doing that established style/look for the Iron Kingdoms, I would feel silly trying to replicate that. Might as well do my own thing and offer viewers a different take on it.

Yep!

The setting is a combination of traditional fantasy magic users and steam punk. A genre combo that really seems to be on the rise these days.

Also, yes....chicks with goggles are indeed cool. Why accessorize with expensive Gucci sunglasses when you can just sport some old WWI pilot goggles?

While we're on the subject of girls with goggles, you fellow steam punk fans may wanna check out "Riese". Its a low budget web series.

Caine is great... if a little broken. I've won almost every battle I've played simply by having Caine flash around and kill the other sides Warcaster.

If you do run Caine you NEED a Journeyman Warcaster. Caine is not fond of spending his focus on more than one 'Jack.
