This is really good! Next time try not to smudge the mane and tail as much, it makes it look less mane-like. A horse's natural hair is course and slightly rough-looking. To smudge color, I suggest using a lower opacity on smudge, perhaps around 0-20%. That's what I use to get the desired effect.
