I really like the lighting! How did you change the color so dramatically from the 3rd to 4th panel?

Once your value map is down and rendered, the rest is just playing around with gradients and color layers. That is the easiest part of the painting using this process.

hmmmm, i see, by by gradients im assuming you mean the gradient map function, and by "color layers" you mean layers set on color mode? (perhaps used to give it that bluish tinge near the legs?)
