i think you'll find that when you submit work as basic as this, you won't get many comments. personally i wouldn't use this, because there's so much better stuff here.
it's simplicity wouldn't even be a problem if it looked good, but the aesthetics of this are also very plain.
keep screwing around.. it will be worth it. if you keep trying, you'll have some great skills.
On a side note, saying "but still worthy of being a wallpaper." annoys me - it's not a good idea to judge your own work.
