Description
I wanted to try and create the look of realistic skin. And I think I am on the way to getting it. This is just a sketch - I will use the technique in more detail for my next painting.

Its created by painting in the shades first. Then creating a brush from a photo of skin, adjusting the threshold to create a black and white image of the skin, invert it, make it as a brush. Then start painting in different colours on your painting with the brush - use Overlay, Multiply, and Soft Light blend modes.
