I did a few years back (on SE K750i) something like this but only a few things changed (battery-signal logo and a few icons in the menu,it uses a custom "Layout.xml" and "menu.ml" files and custom icons,etc.

You can easily use a modified one (there are plenty of examples on the web just copy-paste the codes)and you only have to rename your custom walls,icons etc in the files (can be opened and edited exacly like we do for inserting media skin with notepad)but once modified like this you cannot use other themes,because you change the internal files,or better said the "rules" of how files work.
