Description I hang above the Earth,   hugging the heavens.
I swallow the light   and smother the sky.
Writhing in the wind,   I travel the world.
My cotton bears no cloth   but that of color,
a Serpent of the Air   who shines and shimmers.
Trembling with rage   my tempers lead to tempest.
I weep and wail,   withering to whispers
of the softest sounds   no songbird can sing.
No beast can bark   what I scream and bellow.
My fruit is fickle   and freezes the foolish
who feel no fear   and forget their frailty.
My shadow can shield,   my shape always shifts.
I bring danger and doom,   I deal swift death.
None can live lacking what I leave. Tell me my name!
