Couldn’t resist a Draw the Squad meme! I figured it’d be fun to try making human versions of my family’s 5 rescue dogs (I’m the one with the food!) and this base just couldn’t get more perfect!
-First (at the front with the eye patch) is Teddy, a romanian shelter dog. He only has 1 eye and a bald patch on his back (hence the “edgy” haircut). He’s the only pedigree so we like to think of him as royalty, but his years in an abusive shelter have taken a toll on his mental capacities so we think of him more as a Prince Regent from Black Adder type. His full title is Princess Gummybear.
-Next in the green is Molly, an old border collie originally a stray in Ireland. She’s a grumpy old lady and we believe her barks are like Father Jack’s outbursts from Father Ted. She also loves fetch so I figured she’d suit sporty shorts.
-On the ground is Dolly, a romanian stray. She likes to try and be in charge of everything but … nope. She also has a leg twitch. She has 2 colour brown-blonde hairs hence the do.
-In the black shirt is Heidi, another Romanian stray and Dolly’s partner in crime. She has no concept of authority, earning her punk hairstyle, and a surprisingly low bark. She likes to be out and about investigating and occasionally hunting down unsuspecting critters so she wears adventurey clothes!
-Last but not least is Muffin, our newest Romanian shelter dog and pretty much fresh off the boat. We’re not sure she’s ever been a pet before so she’s very much still learning the ropes. She spends her days hanging out in small places, like under the bed, but will happily wiggle her way out for a walk or a sausage!
