Last year I had an appointment with him for a small workshop. I thought it was in Utrecht, but it was in Rotterdam (Selexys)!!! I felt so stupid!! So I missed it! But at the end of the day he was in Utrecht to sell his book. So I had a chance to see him and take this picture!!
I love his work! Especially his latest work!
I've seen an exhibition of him in Antwerp (all of his work) and in The Hague (his latest work).
I think he's too busy to give photography lessons. Such a shame for us!!!

He sure was very friendly, but on other sites on the internet
people said that he wasn't friendly, because he came 3 hours late for
an appointment, without explaning why. The said he was arrogant.
But now he took a lot of time for each person to talk with, and he didn't mind posing
at all.
I'm very glad I met him in real live!

And I will go there! I was so lucky to be able to meet him, while presenting
his latest book!

He sure has!! So happy that I could meet him! He was very friendly.
He's got an exhibition of his latest works in The Hague, so I'll
HAVE to go there and see his foto's in real live instead of in a book!!

I think it is so cool that you get to go to so many things like that. Do you have to pay for the things you go to?

No, once a year I buy a museum card (about 50 Euro) and then I can visit all the museums that I like for free!
I love to go to them that's why I'm buying this card each year (for so many years already).

Don't you have those museum cards in the usa?

Not that I know of. We only have a tiny museum in the town that I live in and the only time I go in it is during the Folklife Festival when admission is free because the stuff inside never seems to change. There is a Museum of Flight and the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. I think they have others, but I've never been in them. What I would really like to do is go to a "real" museum in New York or something.

A museum in New York sounds great! When I was in NY I didn't have
time to go to a museum.
We've got loads of all kinds of museums in our country! And I love to visit them.
We've got a list of photo museums too, especially in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and
The Hague. Those citys are all about an hour by train from where I live.
Since my father had his stroke I only got away for a couple of times, but I've already
got some trips planned.

I have never been to New York, but it's on my list of places I would like to visit. I live on the complete other side of the US so it would be a long trip for me.

I think it's actually more like 8 or 10 hours...although with the weather the way it is right now, it would be more like 4 or 5 days! lol! The airports are closed due to the snow.

Yeah, Jack's ex wife and son are stranded in Portland at the airport. They were supposed to be going to Palm Springs for Christmas, but it looks like they will just have to drive back as soon as the roads are open again. I am glad we are at home. My son is playing video games and I'm playing with pictures and Jack is talking on his cell in the other room.

So you were going to have a Christmas without Jack, or
was he only bringing his ex wife and son to the Airport?

Fijne feestdagen!!!
