Salutations. I stumbled on this piece through a group and it really stood out to me. There are alot of good qualities about this piece. Let's start with color scheme. Considering the title, twilight (or sunset) could suggest a myriad of colors. Instead, pink has been chosen as the main color, with the others complimenting that. The yellow works harmoniously with it, since it's also a warm color. Aside from that, are two noticeable accent colors. The light blue adds a pop of contrast, in a primary sort of way. And then there's the desaturated green towards the bottom of the image. The green works well as an opposite to pink. Since it's muted, it doesn't overwhelm or compete with the main color. It also doesn't take away from the focus of the image. The dancing figure has an intricate design details in her costume. They're a nice touch. Even better is the movement created by the flowing hair/drapery. This is what really suggests the dancing part. As for the batbirds(?), they're...okay. They may not be necessary to the portrait, but they do add a touch of whimsy at least. Overall, lovely work.
