A little lady wrote me an actual paper letter some time back. Beautifully written, descriptive and heart-warming.

She told me a little tale of her love for geodes, those secret little gem chambers of inner beauty.

She asked me to make her some kind of necklace to wear on that theme: Geodes, and 'The inside is what counts'.

I was really inspired by the idea and looked for just the right stone for months. They are hard to get hold of in sizes smaller than potato, and they are usually quite heavy.

Then one day I found some jewelry-sized and could make the pendant for her!

..After a few weeks I got another letter, telling me she wanted seven more.

She loved her pendant so much, she wanted it to be her legacy to her younger family!

It has been an honour and I hope she will be pleased with them.

I am aware that these are very varying in quality. It's been somewhat nightmare'ish working with some of these, simply because of the small scale. The original I made was an inch across, the smallest of these less that 1/3 of an inch... About 1 cm.

I have also been experimenting with 0.3 mm silver sheet, in some places reducing it down to 0.1 mm thickness in order to bend it over the stone itself like foil.

It has been interesting, ad i am happy I am finished with them.
