This is an example of how a horse may be presented for an endurance race (tack only) in fairly standard, English gear.
This horse has a regular endurance bridle with a snaffle bit, a standard, gentle bit. He has a light endurance saddle and a standard saddle pad to stop it rubbing against him. He has a breastcollar to prevent slipping of the saddle when riding on rough terrain. His legs are wrapped with bandages to prevent injury. This may not always be appropriate, depending on the wetness of the terrain- as they may become waterlogged or rub.
