When you can see insects this close up and see how complex and beautiful they are you earn a whole different level of respect for them. It amazes me every time. But nonetheless, if this little dude was waiting for me in my car, I would be pretty freaked out!!! LOL

wow. what an astonishing shot. I absolutely dig the minimalism in it - and how, whatever the fly is sitting on, makes that beautiful wave-like curve. Also Gold, Red and Black are a quite classy combo - lucky you captured all of them realtime - thats rare I should think

Well from someone who has yet to get a macro shot of a bug that they are actually happy with, this is a great shot. The depth of field is wide enough sot hat we get great to good detail through the majority of the body. The eyes are crisp and clear, the forefront wing is wonderfully captured with all of it's detail. Also the background is quite interesting, it that your steering wheel?
