Description
Hunter- Character profile
Full name- Hunter Levai Draedyn
Core traits- introvert, intuitive, feeling, judgement
outwards manifestation- true activist for a worthy cause; good insights into other people; Rememebers specifics about people who are important to him.
the activism seems to describe how he becomes in the final battle against the Archangels. He firmly believes Evie does not deserve to die for her birthright. (though you could say his relationship with her prejudices him) he is good at reading people, which is why he is such an exceptional swordsman. The good memory implied by his knowledge of those who are important to him show he can prioritise what is important to him and how it will affect others, like how he puts the Archangel's saftey before his personal feelings towards Evie. He is efficient and reasonable, but irrational when faced with threats to those he loves and has no outlets for his emotional frustrations. He hates the fact that he has to kill, but refuses to slip into the stupor that most assassins embrace. It would allow him to distance himself from his acts, but he refuses to deny his responsibility. though he doesn't like to admit it, he knows that he's really sort of shy. He doesn't believe his being has much worth due to the lives he has taken, and is deathly afraid of people simply treating him as though he does not matter ( because of his parents indifference) though he doesn't recognise it. he takes pride in his skill with a sword.
Physical attributes
-Caucasian-English. His race doesn't really affect his decisions, but it made his acceptance as an Archangel easier due to white people being more common where he lives. He doesn't have any particular prejudices towards people of other race, but is interested in the differences between his culture and others and why it causes so many problems. He dislikes the intense value put on social worth and prefers to measure people by personality and work-ethic.
- Aged 17-18 currently. He may appear slightly older than he really is because of his perspective and rough upbringing. His "innocence" disappeared at an early age, so his opinion on people and war could be compared to a war veteran, in that he finds it stupid how people always want to sort out problems by seeing who has the bigger stick. Obviously, he is somewhat preoccupied with his interest in women, being the age he is, but as he realises that being an assassin destroys any hope of a relationship, he manages to keep it "in his pants," so to speak. His current status on love (physical and emotional) doesn't prevent him from doing what he considers right.
- Physically attractive bodily. Being an assasin has demanding physical requirements, so his body has taken on the lean, muscular build required for a swordsman. He is quite tall at 180 cm, and has the long limbs and powerful grace that accompany them. Most of the older Angels have a similar physique (with the exception of height), but the newer ones often envy his visual magnetism. his face is narrow and square-jawed, with high cheekbones and slanted, round eyes with long eyelashes. His face would be considered beautiful, but his nose is slightly crooked (though some say this adds to his sexiness) and his eyes are an unsettlingly light blue. Also, his mouth is too full for most english perceptions of masculinity. He has messy, long-ish strawberry-blonde hair. He dislikes the colour ( his hair is the same colour as his mother's, who sold him to the Archangels.) He kept it short when he first joined the Angels, but has grown past caring about it, though he makes a point to shave most days. He is aware of his physical presence, but dosn't really enjoy being in the spotlight for something he considers incidental, though he has no issue with utilising it and occasionally vicarously amuses himself by flustering some of the younger female recruits.
- his clothing sense changes depending on his day to day moods, and he is really quite whimsical when it comes to how he dresses, but once he figures out what he wants to do, he'll stick to it. though he tends to be quite relaxed about the clothing he wears and often dresses for comfort, he has a weakness for well-tailored clothing. The archangels have no offical uniform, but they are given clothing specifically for use during assassinations and training though they don't have to wear it. He often wears collared white shirts with the sleeves rolled up, and his training clothes consist of loose black trousers bound tight across the lower calf and ankles, a tight sleeveless T-shirt and black leather boots. when an Angel is given the offical title of Archangel, he/she is presented with a black, fur-lined cloak that they are expected to wear during assignments, hence a full Archangel is often said to have "earned their cloak". he has a resonable minamalistic approach to clothes, and doesn't try to be elaborate, though many simply see it as a lack of care. His favourite colour for clothing is black, though, incidently, his favourite colour is green ( the same colour as Evie's eyes, which are one of the first things he notices about her) he wears a locket that has a small crystal in it and a small photo of his little "sister". She gave him the crystal.
- he's natural and easy to like if you can be bothered to work through his intial shyness and guarded temprament, which some see as arrogance due to how it distances him from others. Hunter recognises when people view him this way, but because he isn't particularly bothered by how those who don't know him see him, he lets them think so. he appears quite confident on the surface and has no problem with interacting superficially, but if you actually try to get to know him, he has a tendency to panic and shut people out, even if he knows they mean well. this stems from a bitterness directed at being essentially rejected by both his parents as a child, when your parents mean the most to you, and also his feelings of faliure at saving his sister's life. he recognises the issue but not the cause, and bitterly fights the feelings of self-worthlessness. Evie, patient and empathetic, gently shows him that he did all that could be asked of him in the case of his sister, and that all that matters is how he measures himself, not how other people do so.
Natural attributes
his family, or lack of one, shape alot of his points of view. His father was a married nobleman and Hunter his illegitmate son by way of a prostitute. He disowned Hunter as soon as he knew of his birth. They have never met. His mother worked in an upmarket brothel, so without being privelleged, Hunter hardly lived in squalor as a child. However, his mother was almost never around and the inconvenience of the child to a sucessful and popular prositute made it seem like a much better idea to simply sell him to the Angels. She was superficially kind and generous but took great pride in social status ( hence Hunter's dislike of it) and her measure of self-worth. Ultimately selfish and a social climber, her child stood in the way of her ascent, so he had to go. Because of how his parents treated him, Hunter is skeptical towards the idea of self-sacrifce and maternal instinct. He eventually comes to forgive his father, becuase he recognises that his dad only wanted to protect his family from discovering his wrongs and to provide a stable, uncorrupt home. He is also given the means to understand his mother's action, but he still inherently dislikes her due to the fact that he disagrees with that kind of outlook on life.
- He is reasonably well educated, one of the only things he does thank his mother for. He prefers arts to sciences and hates maths while still being reasonably good at the simple stuff. He prefers physical activity to mental, but appreciates the need for both. More than having a particularly good academic knowledge, his natural intelligence is more useful to him then schooling. he's quick on the uptake and fairly intuitive, but is bad at following orders when he can see a better way of doing things. bad compromiser. good common sense, but has a tendency to spread himself too thin and make mistakes.
- he is skilled at making things with his hands and, of course, there's his swords. other than that, he has good colour sense, though it's not something he has personally noticed.
- he expresses his emotions for others through time spent with them. as one might notice, he makes an effort to see Evie at least once every 2 or 3 days, and then he gives her his undivided attention. Even before he might have realised it himself, he was already telling her how much he cares through his action.
-he is zealous about protecting that which has no reason to be destroyed, the pure and the untainted. He shows this in how he wants Chester to accept the responsibilty created by deciding whether a person lives or dies, How he doesn't believe Evie should die just becuase she harbours the soul of a star and how he has so much bitter regret and hate directed at his parents for not protecting him in his childhood from the selfish realities of adult life. This is also why he hates killing, why he takes responsibility for what's he's done and why he was so torn by the death of his little sister.
summary- he wants to be noticed for the things in himself he has worked for, the things that he himself created, not things that he was given or that he had no choice in the matter. he is a natural born protector, and will fight to the bitter end for something he sees as worth it. decisive, reasonable and clear-headed , he can become irrational when those he loves are threatened and this can cause him to make mistakes, especially when he tries to do to much at once. He is cynical towards those who believe humans are incrementally good, and recognises that most people are too concerned by themselves to consider the affect their actions have on others, a trait that he finds insensitive but doesn't fully understand, hence his interest in racial, religious and social wars. However, at heart he is a romantic, and this drives his desire to protect the uncorrupted and pure. (Evie fits this discription in a rounabout way.) He takes pride in his swordsmanship, and rightly so. He is protective and responsible, but takes on more then he needs to simply to prove his own worth. details are important to him, becuase he believes it shows that you really do care enough about something to rember the little things. His ability to focus absolutely can make him seem distant or cold, as does his unwilligness to let others understand him due to fear of rejection or indifference . he wants people to care about him for him, and his guarded demeanour is simply a resonance of this personal uncertainty. When he is around someone he trusts absolutley, he has a tendency to tease them.
In 5 words - Bitter, Protective, Focused, Romantic, Torn
-His birthday is 14th of July. He is a Virgo.
-he understands human nature more intimately than most and identifies alot of his character flaws, including a few that don't really exist. what he's bad at, at least when it comes to himself, is identfying the cause of a problem.

yeah, zodiacs and psyche profiles are really awesome when you make characters
yeah, he can be quite calculating sometimes. attention to detail and perfectionism sound like him, lol. At heart though, as I say in the profile, he's a closet romanticist. he wishes the world was bright and shiny and perfect even though he knows it's not.
